Count the size or version your customer needs
A shelf can look full while the size or color someone wants is unavailable. If you need item quantities, show us the labels that distinguish variants and any products sharing a barcode. Include fitting-room returns, display samples and reserve stock in the walkthrough. Deciding that detail before counting helps avoid a broad product total when your purchasing decision actually depends on individual sizes or versions.
Make promotion pricing understandable
Show us merchandise with shelf discounts, clearance labels or bundle offers and explain the pricing basis you want used for a financial inventory. A two-item offer is different from a permanently reduced unit price. Keep a reference for promotions that are not printed on the product. We can also discuss checking selected price-book entries where your point-of-sale records and shelf information need closer attention.
Questions about your San Mateo count
Can the count include merchandise customers left in fitting rooms?
Yes. Include fitting rooms, service desks and return racks in the location walkthrough. Staff can help identify goods still being tried on or processed so stock movement is handled consistently during the agreed count.
What if our shop also carries supplies used for services?
Point out retail products separately from supplies used by staff, such as salon back-bar products or workshop consumables. We can discuss including both while preserving the groups you need to review.
