A Napa inventory can cover much more than bottles: retail products, food, supplies and the equipment behind your business. PIA helps you account for what is on site and organize the count around how you operate.

Liquor stores, convenience stores, retail, warehouses and more—PIA’s full range of services is available throughout Napa.

On-site counts from our Fresno-based team.

A downtown business mix beyond the tasting room

The City of Napa describes downtown as a mix of hotels, dining, shopping and entertainment. Those businesses can share suppliers and visitors while holding very different inventory. A retail shelf, restaurant storeroom and equipment closet each deserve the right count approach. We welcome Napa businesses across that range and start by identifying the goods, spaces and decisions you want covered.

Distinguish the bottle from the selling package

If your business carries wine or other beverages, show us how size, vintage and packaging appear in your product records. A mixed gift set may include bottles, food and accessories under one selling price. Explain whether that set is tracked as a unit or as separate components. For an ownership count, provide the pricing treatment the parties want applied rather than relying on a shelf tag to answer every question.

Account for supplies already moved into service

Stock does not stop at the storeroom door. A hospitality business may have ingredients in preparation areas, supplies on service carts and products stored for guest use. Include these locations when describing the scope, and identify opened containers or partial packs. We can discuss the measurement method and the groups you need to distinguish, including sale merchandise, consumable supplies and the equipment used to deliver the service.

Questions about your Napa count

Can bottles reserved for customers be distinguished from retail stock?

Yes. Label the reserved goods and explain their status in your records. We can discuss counting the bottles physically present while keeping reservations, sold goods and available merchandise recognizable.

Is an inventory of business stock the same as cataloging a private wine collection?

The purpose and required detail can differ. Tell us whether you need business quantities, an ownership count, equipment records or another scope, and share an example of the information you want recorded.
