Hollister’s owners may need a shelf count, an itemized parts record or an equipment list for a transfer. PIA helps define the question first, then discuss the inventory approach that fits your business.

Liquor stores, convenience stores, retail, warehouses and more—PIA’s full range of services is available throughout Hollister.

On-site counts from our Fresno-based team.

One-time, annual, recurring and multi-location counts. Hybrid, partial and cycle counts, price verification, lottery, cash and fuel inventories are also available. Explore all count options.

A business community with several working centers

Hollister’s General Plan identifies downtown, industrial parks and the airport area as business centers in its vision for the city. Your own stock may be equally varied: products at a counter, parts used on a job and equipment that stays with the business. Explain those relationships to us. The count should reflect your operation rather than treating a shop, service bay and stockroom as interchangeable spaces.

Remember stock that travels with the work

If parts leave your Hollister premises in service vehicles, identify which vehicles hold business stock and which quantities have already been issued to a job. A shelf count will not explain that distinction on its own. Discuss how vehicle stock and goods awaiting installation fit the scope, along with the records needed to understand movements while a count is taking place.

Explain old and replacement product codes

A replacement part may fit the same application while carrying a different code from its predecessor. Keep those identities visible when preparing an itemized list. Combining them without explanation can hide an overage in one item and a shortage in another. For an ownership transfer, buyer and seller can also identify superseded stock and agree its treatment without confusing that decision with the physical quantity found.

Questions about your Hollister count

Should removed customer parts be included in our Hollister stock count?

Identify used parts, cores awaiting return and customer property separately from new merchandise. Explain which items the business owns and how they are recorded. Their presence in a service bay does not establish that they belong in the saleable-stock total.

What about tools owned personally by an employee?

Label or otherwise identify personally owned tools before an asset count. Discuss business-owned equipment and any rented equipment as separate groups so a buyer or manager can understand the property record without assuming every tool belongs to the company.
