Serving Delano's commercial and industrial businesses
Delano's 2045 General Plan identifies West Side and South Side industrial parks, with settings for manufacturers, wholesalers and shippers. Those operations sit within a city that also needs everyday retail and services. If your business handles goods in both a public selling area and a receiving or dispatch area, planning should follow the movement between them rather than stop at the shelf edge.

Give goods waiting to move a clear status
In a wholesale or industrial setting, an unmarked pallet beside the door can be ambiguous. Is it a delivery to receive, an order already shipped in your records, or stock available to sell? Mark those stages before the count and identify who can explain exceptions. The same idea helps a Delano market when a vendor arrives during an inventory: the delivery should have a clear place in the agreed count period.
Keep a store transfer specific
For a convenience, liquor or other retail business changing owners, walk through the cooler, back counter and storage areas together when practical. Flag damaged stock, goods awaiting vendor credit and any products the buyer is not acquiring. Bring current prices and the transaction's treatment of exceptions to the discussion. PIA's physical count can document the agreed merchandise scope, with equipment addressed separately when an asset count is needed.
Questions about your Delano count
What should we do with a delivery arriving during the count?
Keep it identifiable and tell the count lead when it arrived and whether your records already include it. Agree how it enters the count before it is mixed into existing stock.
Can merchandise and equipment be counted for the same Delano sale?
Yes. Discuss both when arranging the work. A merchandise count and an equipment list answer different questions, so clarify the information needed for each with the other party.
